Just Stephen and myself yesterday we set off about 6.30am, we knew it was gonna be breezy but with reports of mackerel showing in good numbers we thought we'd fill up the freezers if the drift was too swift for the wrecks.
With Stephen at the wheel (showing me where I was going wrong) we tried a couple of inshore wrecks for no return, headed out to 3 mile wrecks and picked up four mackerel first drop but sadly that was it. We tried wreck after wreck and it was about 11.30am before we found a wreck with any life, just as the wind dropped away we manged 4 cod between us about 3-5lb.

Bert, if you're looking in HURRY HOME !!!
