Crackin morning as ever - 13 bull terrier fighting cod, a nice unexpected treat. Cheers lads! ;)

Norman, we weren't even out the piers and I'd pricked two fingers with Hokkais hooks

i well done lads,

passed yous going owt, fishing didnt last long, headed straight out from the piers, aboot a mile, picked up a few mackie and started heading out to a wreck, travelled about 10mins then the engine just slowly slowed down and stopped, couldnt get it going again, fuel problem i think, full tank, air bubbles showing inthe little reservoir over the heater plug, no diesel to the injectors either.,had to come in on the 5hp in that see! 20 paces forward and 30 back,an eternity to come in,f888ing nightmare, anyone with any ideas of remedy, would be appreciated, perkins 4108

That is a class photo :D the colours of the fish are captured spot on by ower on board "David Bailley" cheers mate you never know one day i will return the favour  if cameras are still around in years to come :D

nice one lads ! a very familiar pic that bert , you must of had a few of those 10lb ers.
them fast drop pirks the dog bollocks eh !
Yes Mick i use both the fast drop and the Norwegian type but actually use the latter more !
The thing i dont like is when people call them rippers ! The name "Rippers" comes from years ago when they literally ripped into the fish with hooks attached at all angles ( also called murderers :o ) catching the fish in the body tail etc (no references pls)lol
They are lures or attractors that can be worked in different ways with all kinds of actions also the word pirk is also used !
Pirks are what i prefer to call them or Pilks ;) sorry for sounding off
