Shapness Sunday morning

Well after my red wine celebration and a large scotch in the house I was up at 03.00 to fish the ebb at Sharpness. Looked canny with the roll falling away. Not a bite, even with Marty's peeler - thanks for them. One other thing - if you thought it was cold Saturday night you should have been standing on the rock ends at 5am. Jeeze it was cold.

hi i was on beach yesterday at 6.30, but thought it was a lot colder this morning you need a medal m8

I got in the car to go to work this morningat 6:10 am and it was -5. And there was no wind chill factor in Consett for a change.

Not so much brave Eddie, more if I don't fish the morning tide I don't fish at all until the summer......so I'm stood there fishing up the side of **** Hill, trying to keep one hand warm, looking at a very impressive moon, wondering if I'll ever truly feel my toes again, thinking if I get a fish will the fingers pump the reel around but realising that the only real skill I need is the ability to look at the sky, in an awesome, heroine induced sort of way......... wow, great sky............

Then I thought Christ it's cold and I buggered off. Spoilt it a bit.

Aye David its been very poor recently around the Sharpness area. You must have caught your quota on Saturday night when it really mattered. Been out myself for a couple of hours tonight down the Warriors at Cullercoats. Just one small bite but didn't come back and by was it cold again tonight.
Cheers
Marty
