4lb line will be okay if you are fishing imative patterns ie. buzzers etc
Just remember to take it easy when playing/striking into fish.
If you are planning on fishing lures ie. gold head catswhisker etc I would fish with a heavier line.
An alternative would be to get some low diameter fluorocarbon. You would probably find you could get line the same diameter as your 4lb nylon but with a braking strain of around 6-7lb possibly higher.
