Signed in for a Long half Day & was fishing for 2.30pm. What a difference that Rain has made to the Ponds. The Water levels are up to about normal & the clarity was spot on. Loads of Fish roaming the Margins too, hardly seen a Fish there in 3 weeks previously.

Day before fished reasonably well on Olive Buzzers with one guy netting 12 Fish, but wasnt looking so prolific yesterday going off the catch record book.
Anyway, got set up with Olive & Green Buzzers on the Doxy Dam Wall, with a canny Breeze from the S/E giving a nice drift. First cast & in seconds a ripping take nearly tore my Arm off never ever had a take like it & it immediately snapped me off leaving me wondering as to the size of the bloody thing.:o
Second cast resulted in another hook up which went Pear shaped when it headed into the thick Weed bed & spit the Hook.:(

A short while later i netted my first Fish & thought that it was going to be a "bag up" Day. How wrong, the Wind dissapeared & it was another 2 hours before my next Fish was in the net. This time it was a lovely Brownie about 2lb & well worth the wait. :)

After tea Tried the Albert without success then headed to the Hangmans for the last hour on the Dry Flies & quickly had my third Fish in the net. Hooked another two only to lose them & missed probably half a dozen more before packing in around 8pm.
Not a lot of Fish but really good Sport in patches & a big improvement on my last 3 visits where the score was 0 1 1. This cooler wetter weather can continue for me. :D

Hello Bob,
Well done, that's good as it's been hard going lately......or rather I've been finding it hard going :)
I'm thinking of going there tomorrow afternoon/evening.

Regards Ian
