Sharpley!
Sharpley!
Right, Sharpley!
I don't class myself as an expert on the place but I do have a better idea than most about the place! Personally, I keep away from the noose and hangmans lakes. The doxford (the biggest one) is by far the best. It fishes well to all methods. If you are going up on a night time, when the fish start rising, don't bother messing around with stupid black size 426 dries. Simply either put a zonker or a blob ona floating line, GINK IT UP and chuck it onto the lake. I will GUARANTEE a fish will have a go. Every time. If that isn't your thing, try sticking a couple of nymphs on a floating line with a big dry on the point. Best piece of advice I can give about the place is, if you can, stay until it is PITCH BLACK. Fishing gets better the darker it gets.
You can't miss!
Hope this helps!
