shetlands!!!!!

well we have just got back today from the shetlands after being aboard mv kaylie northmavine, and there is only 1 word for the fishing up there (AMAZING), we left on sunday morning and headed straight up to aberdeen to catch the 5,oclock ferry to lerwick and after a 14 hour ferry steam we arrived in lerwick at 7am monday morning then we met up with kevin the skipper , and his wife mandy , they couldnt do enough for you really nice people and done every thing the could to make us feel at home , the 1st day was a blow out , but boy did the second day make up for it ,we had cod up to 30lb , colie up to 26lb , pollock up to 19lb , ling up to 26lb and haddock up to 10lb , looking forward to the next trip next year, i will post the pics later on tonight .. ps we all took around 60 fish each in only 3 hours from muckle flugga , and by the end of the day we were throwing 20lb plus fish back ..

amazing russ mate arms are throbbing but worth the pain , some of the fish we put back were all nearly over 20lb plus
