Hi all,
Fished shields the day and there must have been about 6000 bashers up the top so set up at 38 as the water was up. Bait used was rag, got some cracking stuff at hebburn reelsport, reel snakes like.

Got stuck int a flattie at around 10:30 -

Then another at around 12:00 -

Went dead after high water. Skott of here introduced himself to me as he was walking off and a seen that slash he did to his hand first hand (no pun intended). Tell you what mate yer a very lucky man.

Moved up to 42 as the water was disappearing and a was starting to get hooked up on the retrieve.

Last chuck and the rain started thrashing down but then the inevitable happened -

Reeling in got hit, ha ha ha. Anyone can macky bash

Anyway I kept it as wor lass likes mac and you can't get fresher than that.

The 2 flatties were returned to get a bit bigger

Not bad mate, you must have got soaked in that rain it didn't half come down

Well done mate! I was down early doors (3am) and got 2 small codling and a load of whiting (all returned) and left at 6 before the stampede!

I was ganna chuck it at about 15:00 as I had to go out on the night but just couldn't resist the 1 more chuck thing, big mistake, yes, completely drownded But at least I had a coat with me, not just a t shirt, shorts and nike trainers. Actually I did have nike trainers

Well done on the flatties Gordon and a nice surprise getting the makeral nice to meet you aswell, your rod stand and reel seemed far to familiar so I had to ask lol!
