Fished it from 12.30 till 4 loads of weed in the water and small coalys then got a small bite went to reel in stuck let some slack out tried again starting coming in felt like I was pulling the plug out took ages to get in the result a ball of weed and 2 plaice one measuring 38cm the other just shy off 40cm the 38cm plaice was the thickest so kept that and put the other back for some ones else's tea. Just need to work out the best way to cook it

Skin it , cut into strips and flour egg and breadcrumb them , then deep fry

How did you cook it mick? Can't be bothered to fillet it. Gutted it was thinking of just baking it whole the flake it?

In a frying pan mate. Just dust the fillets down with a bit of flour then couple of minutes each side and jobs a goodin. Well done by the way mate

Yea was pretty bad but still plenty of small fish about so a good sign for the months to come

Lovely fish mate, gut and cook in oven whole in tin foil and a bit water we lemon, then mix with scrambled egg yumyum

Nice Plaice, one of my favourite eating fish. They are a doddle to fillet, much easier than a round fish like cod. I like to double coat the fillet with breadcrumbs and shallow fry, it's making me hungry just thinking about it
