fished shields pier 44 mark not a sniff did see couple codling on the innerside further down on the way on ,so we decided at 12 bells to hit the walkway mate had a codling 36cm,s second cast , on small amount of crab what was left ,then a while later another one around 38 size ,at this time a was sulking in me cuppa tea not a touch then had a bit winge and moan hey presto one turned up size at 35cm,s ,me mate also had his 3rd size of the session ,looking at last nights results alot of codling same stamp from the tyne last night so theres plenty there im assuming most was on the flood tide we fished the ebb at the walkway so ya never know get a bit crab also lug and rag and give it ago before these tides get bigger

where abouts on the walkway were u fishing? the few times iv'e fished there iv'e caught fish but have always lost alot of gear.is it best 2 fish on the smaller tides?

in the middle 25 yards left of old wooden jetty casting 50-60 yards

bigger tides will pull your gear round and snag up closer in

walkway

walkway

walkway can fish anywhere from the top to the bottom a prefer tide small side of medium to big side of medium with making tide, seen some canny fish there, never had out over three pounds though, but had some 3--4 fish bags and the best catch there was a lobster the length of me tackle box
