fished pier today from 7.am to 10.30 with my son james caught 1 codling about 1/1/2lbs rubbish no wind to much fresh water coming out of the tyne best of baits crab yellowtails etc..

can hardly walk me big toe really sore with gout and me foot come out in sympathy and also massive and sore, and struggling to get about house never mind walking the pier even if a could put up with the pain am not able to get me boots on , hopefuuly a can get out next couple of days

cheers sless thanks for asking , as soon as its gets easier a'll be out like a shot got a fair bit ofbait to use

i thought it would'nt be long before some bright spark to do the old port joke bout it , but according to the doctor mackerel and strawberries are two of the worst things to bring on a bout of gout

Hope your back out soon Bob. Two of my mates suffer badly from gout too, their doctor told them that although certain foods do set it off more (can't remember which one's she said) try to vary your diet as much as possible as too much of most things can set it off.
