Set up at the first gate and fished there for three hours over high water. Caught a small flounder and two rocklings. Not much else happening there so moved along to the rail end for an hour and not much happening there either. Baits used rag, prawn and mackeral. The pier gates were closed early because of the winds but it was ok for fishing as the wind was blowing in line with the pier so it was easy to stand with your back to it.

Well done for getting out and catching in that wind mate. I went out of the rocks yesterday tea time thinking I'd have a bit shelter from the cliffs, helped a little bit but I couldn't cast in the direction I wanted to, so I gave up and went home after an hour!

i heard there was a nice bag of plaice at the 42 mark yesturday.on rag and mackeral

Yeah I heard that too kind of. A lad I spoke to on the pier today said his mate had eight plaice and some other fish all on rag at a spot just before the blocks ( a bit further up than the 42).
