Hi all. After winning me club match on saturday, thought a might aswell use the rest of me bait up 
.
Fished shields pier yesterday from 12.30pm till 7.30pm just past the hole in the wall. Was a lovely sunny day, though that wind was a pain at times. For around 4 hours I was plagued by small whiting. The I met another member from this site, 'mark1964', canny bloke. We moved to the beach for around an hour for the chance of a Bass, though they unfortunately didnt show.
He went home and I went back to the the same spot on the pier for a further 2 hours. Again, getting plagued with pin whiting and a small coalie for a change. Then on me last. cast a got a cracking bit, rod nearly jumped out the stand! And the culprit was a nice chubby Plaice of 1lb 5ozs. Not a bad end to a canny day, and with the tally of the day at 19 whiting and 1 coalie (all undersize), plus the bonus Plaice, a just hope this luck stays for me cleadon club match tonite!
