Shields pier closing

Well not closing down but what time does it close our days if the weather is fine? used to be 7.30pm but it has changed in past years.

Asking as wish to talk a disabled angler fishing this week ont he pier but would be a evening trip and dont wish to get to the end and be kicke doff after an hour.

hi mate,still about the same time 7pm 7.30 .the pier masters are canny they will wait until you pack before walking down.

The opening of the gates been a little eratic of late due to the the two pier blokes been on sick. Opening hours are normally 8a.m. till 6pm 8pm,weather permitting, unless there is work to be done then it is closed on weekdays.

Ritchie, if all else fails, you could always take a walk along roker pier. The parking is free and it very rarely closes.

It shut at 6pm last night but the fishing was poor anyway so headed off when he wlaked along.

I had a cycle along this afternoon, only 1 bloke and his two kids spinning on the end, didn't seem to be owt happening.

Do you have to leave when they bloke says he locking up or does he turn a blind eye if you stay?

No you can stay but at your own risk..only kicks off young kids with no adults with them.
