Fished shields pier tonight with john, fish from the off in the form of whiting and pouting, john struck into a good knock and reeled into a canny fish, which fought like fook all the way in,put me handball hat on and pulled up a pollack less than an ounce short of 10lb,next up i wound in a ****load of slack off a very timid bite and pulled in a codfish 3lb 7oz,as the tide started ebbing the snags started must be a rope off the blocks,no snags at all on the flood or slack water :o:Getting cracking bites but hung up every cast,we both bladdered 4 reels......moved further inshore but just picking up whiting......canny sesh though, worth losing the gear to see the pollack come over the top of the wall, not my favourite pier to be pulling big fish up :D:D

Well done lads bet ya hearts were in ya mouth hauling that up the wall lol. Funny one of my 3lbers at craster yesterday was exactly the same just looked like nibbles then big slackliner but no massive bite like youd expect

Was some good pollock on the pier last night (monday), all caught in the cleadon match, weighing up to and a little over 4lb a think.

Well done on you and your mates excellent catch, this winter has certainly kicked off with a bang :D

A pollock that size is a great achievement. Not a lot would understand just how powerful a fish that size is. A very well done from me.
