shields pier sunday oct 14 first light

well got down for 6am the first good fish was taken by my m8 steve bingham just over 4lb l had nowt but yty's a dab' and a canny coalie but by 12 oclock managed a nice cod just over 2lb. l only seen half dozen sized cod come in all day and there was a canny sea on l set of home at 2.30pm bait was frozen crab frozen blacks fresh lug and rag it seemed to be the fresh bait doing most of the damage

Good to see a couple a codling coming off the pier nice fish for Stevie.. With that sea on tho woulda thought a few more about seems a slow start to the session on shields this year.
