shields pier then walkway

went out to south shields pier tonight had 3 chucks and got an undersized codling seen some other codlings and colies and flattys caught, seen just the 1 sizeable codling. well after i got my codling in i noticed my reelseat had moved so i moved it back but felt it was moving to much to carry on. so i headed off home for another rod then went to the walkway and was getting a fish every cast they were all codlings around the 35cm mark and 1 was 40cm ended up getting about 10 or 11 codling threw them all back and had a very good night only didnt get a fish on 1 cast lol i lost count on all the fish i caught, but definatly got 10 or more hopefully have the same sort of day tomorrow, but seeing all them codling about must be signs of a good winter and there starting to grow for winter i hope

Excellent session and it does sound like we might be in for some good winter fishing if all these codling about is anything to go by.

yeah there is alot of codling about well it seemed it last night, and seems like the best time for them is when its turning dark. i must of seen about 40 codling caught yesterday on the walkway between everyone fishing there and not many of them would of been under 30cm.
