has any body else had macki on pier in the last few days,as the info has been mixed,people saying there is macki being caught and then a bit later during the day there will be another thread well i was there and i did'nt see any caught.i think somebody is telling fibs.lets see some photos as proof let us other members know that we are not wasting our time going down with spinning rod. reliable source needed.

went down pier last nite 11/6/09 (bait fishing), saw 1 lad with 6 makrel at high water, as for bait fishing, it was quite poor, 2 small codling 1 pout and a dab. not much else happening.
the makrel a saw were quite small too.

Dappa - i am just back from a peddle along the cliffs - minchellas (bottom of marsden bank) along the coast towards our pier - there was a good amount of gulls diving ,well more than a good amount ,huge flocks ,but they were a good 150 - 200 yds out ,when i got to frenchies ,they were closer ,but still about 100 yds off the point - water looked clear ,so maybe this weekend the mackeral will show in numbers of the pier and elsewhere along the coast

hi brih,went down shields pier this afternoon with spinners.got loads of under size coley,alot fishing with daylites seen with my own eyes they were getting macki not in great number one at a time but they are there nowt on the spinner.
