Shields pier

Not 100 sure, but i dont think its a tadpole. Snout is too pointy and the tail tapers too fast from the head. I got a tadpole on roker in Jan, pics in the species hunt.

The one i got is much darker, longer and thicker in the body, with a very big mouth and very round head. The jaw was flat, like pacman, not curved, and it had a pronounced grey white lateral line
Not sure what this is mate, maybe some kind of Blenny? It could be a juvenile tadpole, but it looks quite different to the one I got. Maybe thunderpants will have a better idea when he gets a look at it. It's certainly an unusual catch to me, well done, one for the scrapbook!

its a .... montagu's sea snail..

on the ...sea snail ...the dorsal and anal fins are connected to caudal fin [tail]

on the mantagu's they arnt. the one in the pic looks like they are not connected.

joe montgomery caught it on a 2/0 hook the greeder little beggar took the hook right into its mouth but not into the gut so it swam away no bother
