Shields question

Can anyone tell me if the water has cleaned up at the end of shields pier or has the NE wind set it back again?

i fished the pier on sunday and it seemed pretty clear to me, the plaice have started to arrive as i got one about 30cm's

Ok cheers Tony, thinking of starting the summer fishing this week. One last..well two questions...was the gate open? and did you notice if the tide line was in? (river water meeting clean sea water)

Ok cheers, they seem to only open the gates at a weekend or during the summer our days, was shocked at how much it was shut last year. It dont bother me but my fishing pal cant make it over the gates due to hip so bit of a booger if its shut after a 10mile drive.

Cheers anyway Steve always worth given him a knock and asking and see how he stands on opening the gates if the sea is flat etc.

Should be having a trip before the weekend, 1st of the new season from the pier.
