Anyone know who can do a urget fix on a reel as need it for my Norway trip ASAP, issue with the drag system release. Tried for ages to see whats wrong wit it but since its only been used twice it looks spot on and it is driving me made as running out of time to get it sorted.

Gateshead/ Newcastle area would be good.

p.s ID and Frasers both "it will be a couple of weeks" so thats no good....it must be something simple that i have missed, there is nowt to the bloody thing!!!!

Cant understand it Keith, it looks the same as the TLD15 that i can strip down and put together with my eyes shut now but for some reason the drag system just wont lock in i.e the round disk on the end of the drag lever does not pop out to put the reel into gear.

Its had my life on N/S trying to fix it and less than 2 weeks before it is required for Norway and the only reel i have of that size :(

I think this is the fault, someone else had posted a pic and it looks abit like mine...will see if a tld15 one will fit when i get home and if it does and works then i will order a new bit. I think mine maybe rounded causing that bit not to put the spool forward and mesh up the gears, it is eithe rlock down solid or free spool, no in between.

The hard bit will be finding a spare as alot of parts dont seem to be available anymore :(

That part is defo goosed but when i tried a good one from my tld15 (same bit) it did not work still...got me beat as stated nowt to them!!!!

I can have a look if ya like, might summit daft you're missing.

I've assembled the drag lever on a TLD15 before and it didn't work, stripped it and re-assembled and it was fine.

Found the problem the Drag body (brass disk) is well worn out..them tope killed it :(

£13 for a new one!!!!! new bloody reel is only £109 on net but anyway need it so ordered it and it should work now as i tried one from a mates reel and it fixed it straight away...must be a tiny bit differance between the tld15 and the tld20 drag body disk.

Anyway thanks for the help just hope it comes in time for Norway now..time ticking on.

Cheers Troy i see when the part comes and if it does the job.

were meant to be going this weekend, but after reading your report richy its looking like a no go this weekend.

Part came today and fixed the reel, cost £13 but it sorted it.

You should try from Whithorn, i am told it is fishing 50x's better than the other side of the bay for tope.
