I had a short session on the south shields side for a couple of hours. i started off at the customs house and baits were coming back untouched, so after about three quarters of an hour with nowt there i decided to try the walkway, after the long walk I only had half an hour fishing time as i needed to get the quarter to four ferry back. so first cast managed an undersize codling on yellow tails and crab , then had bites every other cast just couldn't hit them and didnt really have enough time there or i am sure i would of had a couple more. Overall not that bad for half an hour on the walkway, but the best part of it being a didnt loose a single set of gear unlike yesterday on the quay where a lost about 8 sets or more.
