Short trip lazy daze Sunday

A quick check this morning showed it was good for a short session just to use a few worms up I'd dug earlier in the week. Thought a couple of hours near the can would do me. The tide was almost at the end of the flood so didn't bother with anchoring.
Had three keepers all about the 3lb mark, and 3 nice size wrasse and a couple of pout.

By 11am, the tide was totally gone, as were the bites, and with the wind just starting to pick up a little, and knowing the the bad forecast, decided to pack in with no other boats around for company.
Once home, the boat washed down and cover on, everything taken out for the winter, (unless we get a nice high pressure in the near future) I think that's it for this year.
Thanks for all your comments etc; over this season. Looking forward to next year and we all keep fit and well for more of the same, with a few more fish thrown in.:D

Aye all the best Arthur, great season for reports (especially yours, you've done well) even if not the best season in general for catches .....
But of course we have to have a few quieter ones to enable the busier ones to shine through :)

cheers mate, look forward to all next years reports .... (or even a late one squeezed in this time) :)

Likewise with all the other comments, I've enjoyed reading your reports. Met you once near the "can" when I was fishing in my boat (Carol Ann). You gave me some advice about inshore wrecks, which was much appreciated, and payed off for me as I eventually caught much better stamp of fish compared to the "can" area. My boat fishing is finished until next spring now as my steering cable snapped on my last trip (just as I was approaching my first wreck !), a couple of weeks ago. Never mind here's to next spring, and hope we get a better summer than this year.
Look forward to "bumping into you" again next season.
