Well, what a waste of petrol.and getting up effort
Out for 7.30 am tried High Point , straight out of C Coats and off the piers .
Couple of bait pinchers and one good missed bite
Best bite was on me !( sting actually ) by what I believe to be a weaver fish

Will try and upload photo for confirmation when I work out how to !!!!!

I thought you'd been stung by a bee when I read this lol. When we were out last Sunday we were a couple of miles out and couldn't believe the numbers of flies and bees and such that were buzzing around the boat.
Is it a weaver fish then? they are dangerous aren't they??

Yep thats a Weaver Fish alright also got spines on the gill rakers
most people mistake them for small whiting.
Easy way to spot them is the black dorsal fin
