before i start i know your all gonna say, ahhh sonik no surprise !! so now thats out the way. it blew over on blyth pier in wind last sunday and broke 2 guides. i rang sonik and they said it was not a manufacturing fault so it wasnt covered under warranty.thing is its not like it slammed down or owt it just blew over.
what do yous reckon, under warranty or not ????

Deffo not under warranty for that mate but I reckon that now you've rang and asked about it, that if you take it back for them to repair they may do the job at cost only, as a jesture of good will, you being a customer of their's and all that. Hope you get it sorted.

Ah right, just noticed you live in Wallsend and probably got it from ID. For the cost of a couple of rings then it's probably not worth the trip to the factory. ID will probably to it at cost just the same anyway if you purchased it from them. Take yer bairn in with the rod for a bit of sympathy or borrow one (with permission) if you aint got any yet mate.

sonik will repair the rod for £5 a ring, but ur local tackle shop will do it for roughly the same price.

Its a bar-teward when the rod blows over and rings go but its not a manufacturing fault. I would shop around and some one will put a couple of new eyes on for you.
Mick.

Theres an easy answer to this question and two easy solutions.

Answer: No, the rod will not be under warranty for the reasons already stated.

Solutions:
1. Get the rod fixed using the manufacturere for possible discount off the repair, if not your local tackle shop is the best bet. :)

2. Make or buy yourself a rod clamp for the railings and this damn mess/ danage would never have happened... ;)
