Sick as a chip

but sless this is true skinners dad used to jump start one engine on his boat ,turn key not to start but, then open the throttle and away you go (honest)

Richy - we (wife and I) fitted our own kitchen and bathroom... Kitchen was a bit of a stress fest but not that bad a job to do. Got a Maple number from Jewsons, think all the units, benchtops, sink, tiles and other bits came to just over £1,000 and we\'ve packed a lot of units into the kitchen for that too.

Most of the work is pretty straightforward, the only stuff you might need some real help with (if you do it yourself) is the electrics and plumbing. Bit of planning and you can probably do the majority of the work in only a couple of days.

Bathroom was just a cheap one from B&Q for a couple of hundred quid, everything was just a case of replacing the old stuff though (no major changes to layout etc).

Ohh - double glazing, we had GoldSeal from Norham road (n/shields) do our windows, they\'re nowt fancy but certainly cheap enough and the lads did a good job putting them in. Back door I got from Wickes and fitted myself (£179) and front door from Morrisons glaziers at Ashington (£300 ish).. pays to shop around and mix-n-match for the bargains.

I used to fit Double Glazing and can recmmend Gold Seal (did my cousins house)

Bernhard Head - Foxhunters also do a canny job!

Richy, If your not in to much of a hurry I\'ll sort you out a decent kitchen fairly cheaply (around the end of Feb though for fitting as chokka block with christmas).

If you just want one supplied though, I can get you a good deal straight away.

If I can help you just give me a shout.

:( : oh! by the way it was\'nt the bendix on the starter motor it kicks in fine... :casstet: :casstet: the caveman wil lhave to go through all the wiring and check it out.. ;) give him something to do.lol.lol.lo
Heather

Did you get sorted Heather? ...... clicking will be the solenoid pulling in, if starter dowent turn its either:-
a) Flat battery (most cases)
b) solenoid heavy Duty contacts not making (not usual)
c) starter brushes need replacing (usually the reason a bang with a hammer works as it loosens the brushes in their guid and they contact armateur, if they are worn then they are short so the spring behind them is already extended and so not as powerful) .... this is second likely cause)

good luck, let me know............
