Settle an argument lads. Moonfleet on Facebook are saying Mackeral are being caught on Shields. I reckon this is a marketing ploy to get the bashers along in droves for feathers etc. my mate, vicflange is biting though...tell me there's no Mackeral on Shields yet?!

Reelsport had on Facebook about mackerel also. Terry said in the shields gazette he things coleys have been caught on daylights and people have thought thwy were mackerel, wouldn't surprise me if that was the case lol.

Boats are not reporting any catches of Mackerel so if there not offshore are further very much doubt there at the piers.

I had a drop for them on many wrecks from half a mile upto 17 miles off yesterday and no sign of them....loads of coalie thou.

To be fair mate, I did say I was sceptical, and was targeting plaice. Couldn't get any bait anyway, so had another couple of hours kip instead. You still fancy a trip Julyish?
