silloth advice please

can you fish in front of the caravan park at silloth ?.fancy trying to get a caravan for 5 nights for me and wor lass.im reading about the chance of a thornback from silloth .is there a best time of year,would late spring early summer be ok.also anything else get caught there apart from flounders.any advice on that area or the other side of the sollway where I could hire a caravan would be much appreciated
