I've stayed there twice before and although the caravans were dated they were clean and comfortable. The site has a good pool and there is entertainment on at night as well a seperate bar.
Two years ago I was there in the 2nd week of May and I caught thornbacks, dogfish, whiting, codling & dabs from the prom next to the harbour. Six years ago I went the 3rd week in June (same as you) and had plaice upto 35cm, flounder to 42cm & dabs to 30cm right in front of the site between the sets of groines. I found low water best fishing from the mud, high water you fish off the concrete wall.
Fresh crab can be collected along the groine walls, whilst you can dig lug south of the harbour towards the Tommy Legs structure. Tommy legs is a good low water mark were you have the chance of a decent bass as well as the other species.
The tides that week are about 4.9m on the NE coast so the tide pull should not be too strong and as a rule HW across there is approx 3 hours earlier than the NE, however do check one of the online sites when you go.
Also there was a pet supply shop that sold frozen bait, blacks, crab, bluey & mackie.
Hope this helps

thanks for the info, looks like the tides are quite big for that week but that's the only time I could go,guess fishing a few hours upto high water off prom would still be ok
