Six Hour Session

Took myself of for a short session before the forcasted rain arrived. Well I didn't get what I was hoping for but was rewarded for my efforts with my second ever Tench weighing in at 6lb 7oz.Seen a few carp the way they were acting you would think they were spawning again. One came out the water like a polaris missle what a size, another came right under the rod up to the fourth ring on the tip, that got the pulse rate up abit.Another sight which made the day was watching a pair of Buzzards soaring through the sky. So at 15:00 the first bit of rain started so I decided to play safe and go while I was still dry.
Oh and I have got photo's but I'm buggered if I can get my head round on how to post them.
Had a Lovely Day Out.

sounds like you had a good day. well done on the tench mate, I've always wanted to get a tench over a 6lb and also where were you fishing as i am heading out this weekend and unsure where to fish

adam123, Do you know if your club has exchange tickets with Leazes or The 4 in 1 clubs which will allow you to fish there waters.

the membership book says that we have exchange tickets with chester-le-street angling club and Richmond and district (not sure how true this is as the book hasn't been updated in a while. also the membership means your part of the Taa which has a couple of lakes you can fish, such as killingworth lake

no there is no mention in the book, so if i want to fish these lakes i will most likely have to join lpaa, however i might aswell join next year as their is less than three months of the year left and we are approaching winter when they will probably be unfishable, so will probably be a waste of money

At this time of year its not really worth joining a club,I would hold back until next year. Leazes and the Four in One club share the lease on Thornborough. If you access the LPAA web site all the information you need should be found.Had a quick look and Big Waters,Leazes and the Four in One clubs are all membere of the TAA so at a guess you should be able to fish the waters of all three, you may as already mentioned need to obtain an exchange ticket from your club first, but I'm guessing so check it out.
