4 of us had a last minute 5 day trip over Skarnsundet with Phil Dale and managed to find a few fish with coalies to 6 lb a pain on the jetty in front of the apartments hitting baits before the cod got a chance. We seen 4 doubles the first 4 days and had a couple of locals unhappy with us fishing on there rock that decided to take pot shots behind us with a Rifle not a good experience we soon moved marks >:(the best 2 fish of the trip fell to Irish Dave (luck of the Irish)20lb 10oz and an 18lber I had the next best 15lb 8oz then Patricks 15lb 2oz we had plenty other codling to just under 10lb.

Sounds amazing guys. Cod that size with houses in the background that you could almost cast to!

Where oh where did this country go wrong?

No protection of our fish stocks, Clyde Estuary and countless other areas allowed to be trawled out.

Removal of the 3 mile limit in the 80's.

We should be ashamed!!

great report m8 some cracking cod there first time I"ve heard of the locals kicking off like greedy ****s

We should be ashamed!!

Norway protect there inshore waters by not allowing trawling ,they just allow long lining and rod fishing.
There big boats do decimate other grounds though....

We should be ashamed!!

some of those fiords are huge and go well in land so would be protected anyway.

skarnsundet is actually 60 miles inland.

You think youve got it sussed for next year then it all changes funny place but we always manage plenty of fish:) Bri.
