Well i hope the cod fishing keeps going in Norway for when we go, by all reports Northern Norway is having its best Skrei cod season since they started recording it. Last year was one of the poorest seasons recorded so once again it gets you thinking where do the fish go.

Reports from the camp we are going have anglers landing 30-50lb fish daily, thou these are the skrei cod ( large breading cod)and gone by the time we will go.

Pic below is one of many posted today, 2 cod for 49kilo gutted!!! that be around 50lb each!!

Why cant we manage our waters better and have these monsters in them, we share much of the same sea and much of the same tidal runs as Norway.

Magnificent fish them, shame they had to die though, when you think of how many more eggs they could have produced.
Anyways Rich, sounds like yous are aboht to have the time of your life over there with the good reports, so best of luck.

Well we put everything back apart from the odd haddock and the butts. I hope so Arthur but the skeri cod run is almost over, really it should of been finished by now and its still a few weeks until we go.

Sure to a few biggies left when you get there, certainly bigger than we get over here...:)

First mackerel caught today off a Seaham boat, by a woman, but only the one......but its a start...:)

Well you shake mid teen fish off the hook in Norway, nothing under mid 20s worth lifting on the deck :) and thats a fact :)

My fav fish the mackerel, ow i can taste the wrecks starting to fish :)
