Slaty Gut Tynemouth

The sea looked great this afternoon so decided to try the beach at low tide.Fished Slaty from 4pm until 6pm and caught 1 codling of 2lb which was kissed and returned alive ( ala rex hunt ) to fight another day. Then moved on to Stoney bottom and had two casts, raking cod bite first chuck but never came back. Finished at 7pm as I needed my tea and shower before going out at eight.
