Sleekburn trout water is it still open never been there for years

If that is the one on the old Earth Balance site at Bomarsund, I saw some folks fishing there the other day. Seems like it is still open.

i have been past it 6 times in the last fortnight the gates are always locked

I pass it most days and I last fished it just over a year ago. You have to book the fishing in advance so chances are the gates will be locked late afternoon or evening if no one is fishing. If in doubt then ring the fishery for details.
