hi folks
im back in one peice, what a trip eh,couple of days on the boat
i had 10 different species(nowt big)
then stuck the tip of my filleting knive in my finger
thought nowt of it,then my finger swelled up
and then red marks appeared up my arm
\"tracking \" i think its called
then got rushed to hospital for a tetanus
wrong
i was kept in from tuesday night till friday dinnertime
when i arrived they gave me 3 injections,a minute later i puked up and had terrible pain in my back(kidneys)
then was told i was alergic to penicilin
the food was horrible
the nurses were great, they loved my accent
if you think its bad over here
i wanted a shower and had to co to the chemotherapy ward to get showered, every place was chocka block
then when i coming out the doctor said ai was very lucky,if i had left it any later i could have died
then i got a shock
ive got 10 days antibiotics
ive got to go to my docs for a 2 week sick note and get a follow up at
our hospital then get a repeat prescription

i was gaan to pack in drinking any way

apart from that it was great
hahaha
on the 1st night we went to a pub there was a bloke having a meal by himself on the next table,he drank his pint and walked away,i looked at his plate, there was some potato left so i took one
then skull said pass him one so i did
when i looked there was a bit steak on his plate aswell
i was just biting into it when to my amazement the poor bloke
walked out of the toilet and looked at us,turned around and walked out

hahaha

If I went to the bog and skully was eating my meal when I came back, I\'d bloody well ask him what he wanted for dessert!!!!!

skull is one in a million

heart of gold

he missed a days fishing just to fetch me some bits and bobs to hospital

Good to see you back OK, Sless :D

Totally agree about skull.......heart of gold.

Had my 1st trip out on The Boys earlier this year........felt like he was \"looking out\" for me.......lol. \"Plenty crab there, Tony...just help yersel\"

One drift, I didn\'t bother dropping down.....just rested on the side of the boat looking out to sea watching the sun coming up....heard this concerned voice in my ear.....\"you alright, Tony?\"

Doesn\'t surprise me that he missed a days fishing to help out a mate - seems like just the sort of thing he\'d do.

Aye, top bloke and so are the rest of the crew, everything is always shared, beans, smarties, pineapple chunks and Stephen always shares his line.......just not where you want it!!! ha ha!

Good to see you back Sless wouldn\"t be the same without you mate. Excellent post I dare bet those nurses will never forget you.

Jim.

Hej
I\'m sorry to hear you spoilt some of your trip, but it could have been worse... like a pighead or so
It\'s good too see that you came back to the top again. Now you have to stay there... LOL
cheers / Fisho

i will still be going back next year more determend to win

bert can fillet my mackerel for me and put it on the hook
hehehe

Hej
... then you need small hooks. Didn\'t you tell us about Berts filleting habit earlier... with a chainsaw... or with a baseball-bat... maybe I\'m wrong...
cheers / Fisho

Welcome back Sless........great story about the steak.

Your story made me think I need a tetanus booster. Stabbed myself in the leg a couple of weeks ago with my fillleting knife...thought I was brave just to leave it till I got home and get showered which it did.

Looking back it was pretty foolish and I was quite lucky it healed the way it did!!

All the best,

Jeff.
