Slight reel problem

Need your help guys - my Abu 5500 doesn't seem to be running as smoothly as it used to. Here's a photo of it - any idea what the problem might be

Do you think it might need a rinse under the tap?

i think ive solved ya problem the tension nut for the spool maybe too tight hope it helps PMSL

Yeah, got it from Lewis's for a laugh; someone dragged it up in their pots. Don't know exactly where it came from or how long it's been down there - I think it's only held together by the barnacles!! Doesn't half stink as well
