Slinky Moulds

Just took delivery of this beauty:

Don't wanna sound like a broken record but these moulds are a dream to use, pinned together perfectly and the loop holes are spot on for standard loops.

These attributes speed up the whole process of lead making, I'll do a time in motion study tomorrow night and post the results :D

Cheers Norman & Tony :)

Not rocket science Mark, stick ya loops in, clamp it together and pour some molten lead in :).

Not going to mention your place of birth but there's some savings to be made :D:D

Haha, if you knew me Keith you would know how totally outwith my "skill set" that would be! :red:

I'd just display it as a "conversation piece!"

Credit where its due Norman ....superb workmanship
Keith aka (old mouldy) certainly has got the full range now !:D

bert, I made a 14oz single for a guy in North Wales, whoo hoo gonna have to make another one for myself with slinky logo on it, we could have "races to the wreck" with them :) :)

craftsmanship at its best Norman. Can I ask has there been a change of thought regarding weight we all seemed to go light now as with life and middle age were putting it back on or has team Slinky and shady got plans???

I think we're still around the 12oz in general graham in fact I like the 10oz and will be giving it a go a lot this s a season, but just for a customer I made a 14 and it looks the biz, no engraving just sleek. I suppose he fishes in harsh current or deep water.

Lol I got a 16oz on machine now :) again, not for us but hey on fast drift days just maybe

Mark
just get one and put it on the mantle piece as a ornament
or
take the ducks off the wall and put a set of moulds up

He would love to have it on his mantle piece Paul, so much cooler than any ornaments he currently has!

Just gave the new mould a whirl, switched the gas ring and blow torch on at 10.35am and had 20 quality leads by 11.0am
