The boat forum is a little quiet at the end of the season Glen but I bet some of the lads with boats will give you some info soon enough though.

Jim.

Hello & welcome Glen, I'm sure Norman or Bert (tadpoleman) will give you some advice.

The areas around the yellow cans at St Marys & Souter might be worth a try.

determined to get out at least once before the end of the year in mine, rough ground at st mary's and off souter are indeed well favoured by the small boat owner.

planning on trying anchoring over the ground at the stmary's at dusk, and into the first part of the night soon to see what happens! (any volunteers!!)

plenty of wrecks within a couple of miles of the piers as well though, let me know if you need any numbers

you cans till see the piers 8 miles out on a good day!

hi Glen, welcome to NESA mate,
what boat you got and where are you (do you trail it, or kept on river?)

Still fishing left in winter for boats if you can get the weather, marks right St marys is a good bet and not too far.

welcome aboard

message for Jim ..........

Jim, (after reading totally different thread maybe even different site) what pub do you work in in consett, I work at unit 24 No1 ind est and frequent only the Hat & Feather and the Raven, but could be persuaded ;) to try further afield :)

Just shore fishing Norman, Shady needs a new bearing in the sterndrive.

I think Bert is getting her lifted out this weekend coming.
