Im gonna give the box and all its components a good scrub tomorrow
Sick of it now ,, ive since threw the elastic out

Crab juice = the worst smelling if its off. The towels well when we come in and hand them over (The facial expressions tell them all). And you want rid of the smell? Take hot water and detol, add one cap to boiling water and then place in your box. Close the box lid and steam it for 5 mins then scrub it to death. Empty it and rinse it make sure its free of detol.

PS. That sounds like a recipe for fish... Seriously no pun intended...

Last summer i went to the MoG and took 200 crab with me and wen we got home i realised i left about 50 in me mates car ,, you can imagine the fone call i got on monday morning lol

You wouldnt want to to be honest
It was foul took about 4 days to fully rid the smell

Try small tuppaware boxes to keep stuff like your towel, elastic and other things in. They will smell but when all closed your box should be ok. Will keep them separate from other items also

i usually clean mine with this method after emtying all me stuff out pour hot water in as there is no holes in the bottom of the box and just add some bleach use a small brush to get into any corners empty and rinse outside result a nice clean box

shud seen all the swivells ETC i found lurking amonst the sand out the bottom

I normally try and stay away from chemicals or artificial smells, so when I get a smelly box I use a small bowl of malt vinegar and leave it inside the box for a couple of days then rinse with cold water. Works for me but YMMV.

dont know what the problem is mate.....get yourself home from fishing....dump the box in the kitchen.....crack open a few tinnies ,while the missus sorts ya smelly box out....jobs a good un......if she doesnt do it .....sack the biatch

Didnt fasten the lid of my flask properly so mine smells like bovril.

often caused by throwing your rig into box at end of session with worms still on hooks or worst still leaving a towel or cloth with crab juice on it. clean with hot water and daz or other detergent solves the prob.

Box sorted nowt abit of warm water with floor cleaner in wont sort out
All the bits n bobs boxes smell lovely aswell
(lets see what happens on sunday though)
