At smith docks now few nice codling round the pound mark believe or not the beirn has caught 17 little codling on a spinning rod the little monster lol

The whole area has been flattened now and looks nowt like it does on satellite view by the way!

The only Smiths Docks that I know about is the reclaimed land area between Royal Quays Marina and North Sheilds ferry landing

thats the one sid you can only gain access from marina side at bottom of railings you have to climb rounds to sets to get onto smiths doc and if you slip your in the water ie tyne so care is needed
fished there good few times aint done much there lately to be honest but if you hit it right it can be good spot

pop65 - the second set of railings your on about u dont need to clamber round, theres a hole in the fence a little way up enuf to fit your seat box threw

aye mate its straight opp shields ferry on your side and goes down to next ferry landing on northshields side
