Fancied me chances at smiths dock on wed, since my last 3 attemts at makeral have been disapointing tried daylight on my big rod.. spinning and float fishing on light gear.... Any ways at the royal quays got four plaice only one of size in about three hours... Gonna attempt sheilds pier tommorow for maccy or does anyone think al just be wasting my time???

Water is probably still to dirty for the macky to venture in yet mate. According to the forecast the seas are due to flatten of a bit over the next week so we should see some getting caught. Keep an eye on the shore catch reports section which i am sure will let you know when they are starting to show.

Aye to be honest it was quite tricky getting the right depth in the river... But where thas a will theres a way lol my favourite type of fishing now

on shields pier thursday not much about and no maki, water very dirty, down all day today a bit more fish about still no maki, water seemed cleaner but all the rain we have had last 2 days will probably change that ,

pier attendent said it was rubbish fiahing yesterday

Aye ano karl god nars why a said four plaice lol.... How'd you get on waco?? av just been doon the marina again caught seven flatties between me and me pal.. 6 Safely returned one for the pan haha
