Hi Lads, I'm thinking of heading down easington way the one past Whitby to try my luck for a smoothie I've never fished that way before so any advice would be welcome.

PS. I'm after buying some peeler if any of you lads have any spare from ya tyres,

Cheers Brian

Sorry I don't know much about it but I've been looking to have a go myself. Have a look on wsf forum in east coast section plenty there.

Cheers I've had a look on several forums including the holderness coast one might head down a bit further to chapel point instead just need some peeler now

sorry clarky m8,
there`s some lads been getting in some bother trying to buy/sell crab on here..!

I've been down twice. I most certainly wont go ever again!
1st time complete blank, same as allllllllllllllll the other anglers on the same strech
2nd time a 3oz whitey, me mate had a 15oz whitey and another mate had a 7oz flounder :( Again, these 3 fish were the only 3 fish i seen all day between 20+ anglers. Both times I had a bucket of fresh crab.
I begining to think it's all myth about smoothies down there

Cheers Adam I'll give it a bash n see how it goes and I'll report back and hopefully not a myth

for Chapel you need flat calm conditions dont bother if there is any sea on,fresh crab no bigger than a 10p coin on a 2/0 pulley rig fish can be at any range, night fishes better than daylight ...

Think it's supposed to be flat, but if there's a bit of a sea on where would you recommend.
Cheers

if there is any lift on better off on the Holderness (Easington) as you have a good chance of Bass and Flounder IMO Chapel needs to be like glass even a slight lift can put them off ...

How many crabs would you want

Pm me

Personally, I wouldn't bother unless conditions were right.

Looking at the sea theres a canny sea on. Long way to go and catch nowt and not even give yourself a realistic chance.

I'd rather fishin daylight anyday for smoothies.

Cheers for all the replys lads, I checked the swell reports and it was quite bad so I'll try another weekend
Thanks Brian

ive been down 3 times this summer with only one small hound for my efforts(just the once last year = 10 hounds) they have only appeared for short spells when theres been a break in the weather .but with mostly n/e s/e we have had this year its had them stay in deeper water but theres never 2 days a like ya cud miss them one tide and there the next i shud know its happened a few time went home and they had turned up the following tide and yes the flatter the better is best :D
