Bloody hell don't tell people you snapped a Century, it's only supposed to be Greys and Sonik that snap :o

Seriously though have a look around the sites, it might be cheaper to find a replacement. My Daiwa bass rod got smashed in a van door and couldn't replace it so got a newer model and never looked back as it was far superior.

Good luck

Difference is century rod snapped atfer 20 years not 20 mins like sonik and greys

Chances are it's sustained some form of damage or deformity durinh the 5 years off.. Could ba due to the way ots been stored etc.. At least you've moved onto a rod you find better now anyway! You might even be able to make a bit of cash back by selling the snapped rod.. Someone may have a damaged butt they need replacing

About 15 years ago i snapped a mk1 tippy pendulum casting. I'd only borrowed the rod so was proper sick. Contacted century who said to take both snapped bits up to them so they could have a look at it and they repaired it! I'd snapped a good 18" off. When it come back it was ever so slightly stiffer, that rod is still going strong now.

I contacted them mate and they told me the same as you basically but it would cost £109 to repair then £50 for new rings and £10 courier charge not worth it in the end
