snapped!!!

snapped my 14ft rod last night on marsden beach, gutted..

i done the same thing month back mate with 6 macky on it,just gives you excuse to buy a new one.

id love a new one but im skint!! im gonna have to use my 10ft pier rod which i hate.

how much of the 14ft rod did you snap off? if you've chopped off say 2ft then try & get a big top eye for it.. boat eye or summit from ya nearest tackle shop.. i did it with my 13fter snapped bout 2/3ft off it as i was on me bike so got a big eye put on it... now its a strong pier 10fter rod for the winter!! cost couple quid for a top eye.

its the bottom section that snapped, just above the reel seat. its unfixable, iv got a load of other rods but not for beach fishing..

it was just a cheap thing but it was really good. think im gonna save and get something decent, any info on a all round rod would be appriacated. mostly use at the river and beach but the odd time rock fishing.

sonik sk3 or sk4 rod mate.
excellent rod for the price ;D
really light and bite detection is excellent, you can chuck a good bait out a canny distance at ease with them as well ;D
