just had a load delivered with a bulk order, not what i hoped for but in the freezer now
usually i try to avoid them as i feel there full of water and not as effective as splitters but wondered what other users thought about them?
ive had fish on them but not enough to think they make a difference!
whats your opinion??????????

I have found they work best lashed together with mussel tend to work best after a big sea for some reason, also worth using on the hook to bulk out your crab baits.

Had fish on them, but know way as good as a prime splitting crab,to me the lovely orangey/yellow crab juice is dilluted,no where near as potent as a prime splitter.
Got to agree with mr pighunter, used them for bulking up with mussel, worm, razor etc,but much prefer the best/prime option.

When iv'e used hermit b4 had it from the local commercial fisherman, any local to you ?.
seen a a few pulled at the walkway, but never seen any one target them. on the clyde the locals target them with a type of drop net with bacon rind as one of the top baits to catch them . once when up there a cousin took me down and we got a bucket ful in a few houirs fishing the red rocks area mebbes it would work at the walkway only but can try

Crinklies can be deadly at times seen them outfish other crab at times. Fished end of SSP a few years ago and my pal was pulling in codlings to 5lb when no one else could get a bite, his crab were more hard than soft. Just shows you can never read a fishes mind!!
