some advice {opinions please}.

hi reg I am also thinking of a leeda icon had a look at one in frasers nice looking rod for the price , went back they next day and both rods sold.
nets at Hartlepool did have the full range in stock ?.
at the moment I have a zipplex sst that I got off my m8 and its a cracking rod , but I could never afford the buy a new zipplex on the old state pension.

I know when I got the match from nets the rod was last one in stock. ......all sold out that just shows how good they are. For people who don't have die hard century or zipplex money which I dont now they are the definite choice for the masses lol. alconites or kwags and you have a £ 250 rod!!!. I even know steady (col) has moved away from century and bought a power and match they are that good!! Hes always ravin on about them!! ;-)

Me pal has the Icon m sport power and its a great piece of kit 13'10"casts up to7oz really nice looking rod has got a great feel to it and well worth the money but I wouldn't swap him for M427its just the best rod I have ever had
it just oozes quality am sure what ever rod you decide on reg you will have a decent rod to fish with m8

well thats put the cat amongst the pigeons, broon shoe.as said got the money for zipplex, but still thinking about personalized leeda.surely you must be able to buy a leeda blank some were.seems daft having to strip a new rod down for the sake of rod rings.

morning dale as said its catch 22.question for you then if you had the money which one would you opt for zipplex or a personlised leeda.

the zipplex I would defo go for, its an excellent rod and its a comfortable rod to use , got this zippy sst of my m8 excellent condition as he has more rods than frasers tackle shop.
I would also purchase the leeda icon sport or power so I have two rods.
going to get one some time this year
and would sell the ron Thompson axellerator nice rod but heavy for me .
if you want to have a go of my zipplex sst I can pop down give it a try you are more than welcome.

its your cash reg and your choice m8 tight lines with the new rod , let me know your opinion on the rod once you have had a few outings,
I intend to buy one myself later on in the year
possible the icon match or the power

Great stuff reg you wont be dissapointed the ultra power is the daddy of the range "your" rod has pulled 300lb fish in from the shore.....quality is not a issue :D;)

so its looking like a no to zipplex atm,so is it worth paying twice as much for the name.still undicided atm.

your not paying just for the name reg , but the reliability , and they are made by hand of the finest rod builder in the world and made in this country, get a zzippy it will last you a lifetime

cheers spongebob

cheers spongebob

I but imo he ain't bought rubbish hes bought an extremely underrated rod because of a name tag
i see theres a nesa member wanting to SWAP a mk1 wr 300 for 1 of these new leeda rods . what does this tell you.times change lance, had a big FIXED SPOOL last 5 years NOW your after 1.as ive said its my money spent imo WELL spent.

totally agree the rod in question is very underated as you know i,m a bit of a tackle tart to say the least and own both rods the mk1 and 2 and when you read on some of the other forums how much of a stir they have kicked up and can do everything other rods can do i think they are well named icon as they are up their with the best and as for the guides my rod blew over in the wind the first day i got it with such a clash and i thought thats the guides broke but not a single 1 was broken i just think we get ripped off with century and zippys then harrisons and leeda bring out rods that are affordable but each to thier own
