At last took my boy down to roker pier with the spinning rod and a couple of spinners, after about half an hour, he says dad its stuck on the bottom. I took the rod off him to free it, but felt the rod bouncing all over gave him the rod back and told him to reel in. After a brief struggle and some hairy moments he landed his first fish, a good sized mackerel on a 20g spinner, Well done Travis...... i have a picture but haventy a clue how to upload it.

Well done m8 thats the way to learn them and i can see his face light up when he eventually got his fish in so well done Travis son looks like lots of fishing days for you now as you will be hooked into it now so again well done.

Ha ha exactly mate, well needs must, gonna take him for his own spinning set up on saturday, then gonna try and find somewhere quiet to get his casting up to speed..
