Took the little man and one of his big sisters down to Smiths docks for a few hrs just before low water.
After messing with my reel i was struggling to get any distance without exploding my reel and only managed 2 of these, no idea what they are, the bairn shouts its a Plec ;-)

Had a mouth full of hardbacks.

My daughter caught her first 'ting' of 23cm followed by another just bigger.
Dylan blew us both away again with 4 'ting' from 22-30cm and his first codling, a huge 27cm :-) on frozen lug and some ragworm kindly given to us by some lads fishing further up.

Cheers mate, its great having them out with me, seeing there faces as they reel in not knowing what to expect is cracking. I'm hoping he sticks it, if not we keep a log and pics so its something for us all to look back on.

Great report mate, an enjoyable read. That fish is a Short Spined Sea Scorpion.

Cheers and another species to add to my list :-) Thanks for the i.d
