Well that tells you everything mate. As said I had one Grey's rod and the only reason I didn't like it was because I couldn't cast with it. I just found I couldn't do a thing with the Murcury apart from lob it from the rocks but if another was to come along I could use I wouldn't let the first one cloud my judgement.

what is the best beach rod from sonik for multipliers for smooth ground and long distanse ? and would it be better than a daiwa supercast sts13pm . just looking for a new rod for the beach . low budget wonder if anyone can help me out lads will be putting a penn suppermag extra on it ... cheers steve ?

Either the 13' 6" model or one of the 16 footers. Been thinking about one of the long ones myself as I don't have a long rod, will be having a few casts first to try it out & see how I get on. The 14 footer which I have is a belter as an all-rounder, but fancy something a bit less powerful for the odd bit of lighter work.
