Sonik sk3 12' 2.75 lb carp rod

Anyone know the recommended casting weight for it ? Its my favourite bass lure fishing rod and has served me well. Thinking about bait fishing with it for bass this weekend over in Luce Bay. What maximum lead weight would be advisable do you think ?

Alright John, I use a Chub Outkast 12' 3lb test curve rod for mainly for pike fishing sometimes using 3oz leads + a deadbait. I'd recommend using weights in the 2-4oz range for casting at range but you can use 5-6oz leads if fishing closer in during a heavy swell. Tight lines
